Schoenoplectus validus, commonly known as Lake Club-rush is a tall rhizomes sedge with upright green-blue foliage. It grows naturally n fresh water dams, swamps, lakes, creeks and on the edge of brackish water in coastal rivers and lagoons.
Grows in full sun to part shade, preferring moist, boggy soil. A great choice for wetland revegetation projects and can be planted in and around ponds.
It is also an important food source for a variety of animals, including waterfowl and other wetland birds.
