Tersonia cyathiflora (Button Creeper - also called Cup-flowered Tersonia, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the Gyrostemonaceae family. It is the sole member of its genus, and is endemic to Western Australia.
Prostrate annual or biennial, herb or shrub, 0.15-0.6 m high, to 1.5 m wide. Fl. yellow-brown/brown-red, Jun to Dec. Sand over limestone. Sandplains, coastal limestone ridges & outcrops.
Tersonia cyathiflora is used as an ornamental plant in gardens and as a medicinal plant for treating skin diseases and wounds.
This species germinates after fire, lives for a few years and then persists in the seedbank until a subsequent fire. It prefers moist, well-drained soils and full sun to partial shade. It is best grown in a container or in a rock garden.
